Beyond the Rainbow: Understanding the Progressive Pride Flag

The Pride flag has long been a symbol of unity, love, and solidarity within the LGBTQ+ community. Originally designed in 1978 by Gilbert Baker, the classic rainbow flag featured six vibrant colors, each representing different aspects of the community. However, as society has progressed, so too has the need for greater inclusivity. This has given rise to the Progressive Pride Flag , a more evolved design that acknowledges the diverse experiences within the LGBTQ+ community, particularly those of marginalized groups. A Brief History of the Progressive Pride Flag In 2018, the Progressive Pride Flag was introduced by designer Daniel Quasar.
